Configuration of Maximum Waiting Time For Free aRFC Resources On Central Server

Each collector job checks for free aRFC resources on the central server on which this background job is executed. By default, it checks for 10 seconds. If no aRFC resources are found after 10 seconds, the collector job is not executed, and no data is collected. Proceed as follows to adjust this maximum waiting time threshold in the configuration properties:

  1. Start transaction /DVD/MON_SYS.

  2. Go to the node Configuration.

  3. Find the property name MAX_WAIT_FOR_FREE_ARFC_RES.

  4. In the Property value column, change the value from 10 seconds to a custom value.

  5. Click Save.

The maximum waiting time threshold has been adjusted.

NOTE

In addition, if you often experience this issue for a particular server, you can define a custom job server group in transaction SM61. You can then assign the created custom job server group to the configuration property BTC_SERVER_GROUP. When collector jobs restart, these jobs will only be executed on server(s) that are specified in this custom job server group.
